September, October events

In September, our son Logan returned from Uganda and started his Sophomore year at Mount Royal University.-- he helped Tim so much in Uganda, and was able to be part of a large spectrum of the work. Thanks Logan for your participation and job well done!

The end of September two sponsors from the USA of Children of Promise kids in Uganda - (Upendo kids) were able to come and spend some time with. They not only visited them, but two of our schools in the Luweero Triangle which is around 18 kilometres north of Kampala city. Wendy Weeks and Mark Groth were so encouraging to the kids they sponsor - and were so excited to take them to places they normally would never visit. Thanks for uplifting the future of these kids, as well as the schools you visited. God bless you!

On October 1st, Tim left Canada (after a 2 1/2 week visit) to return to Uganda. A team from East Canton, Ohio was expected on the 4th for their first visit as a church. Pastor Greg Smith and his wife Sherry were the team leaders and it was an excited group that arrived. During their stay, they were able to take part in pastoral training, dedicate two churches where they had contributed the roofing, do visitation with children, the elderly and those in the TAPP program. They traveled around Northern Uganda experiencing the roads and ferries. This is where they hope to focus their involvement and was good for them to see. A very good trip indeed.

It is always exciting to witness first timers who come to Uganda, being lavished in love as a visitor and experiencing Christian fellowship makes it such a special time. We are excited that they already have their next trip planned for 2015.
